Local Foods Plymouth is a virtual marketplace where you can purchase food products grown locally in the Plymouth, NH area. Orders may be placed from Monday afternoons through midnight on Tuesdays; all orders must be picked up on the Thursday following your order from 4-6 pm. We request that all buyers take a moment to read through the information listed at left – Picking Up Your Food and Conditions of Use. Please note: LFP is only "live" for buying Monday afternoon through the end of the day on Tuesday. Feel free to browse products on any day of the week; however, you will find all items to be "out of stock." Purchasing is limited in duration so that on Wednesdays we can let our farmers know what has been purchased. On Thursdays, they deliver everything to the Plymouth Farmers Market.
Thanks to all of you who made Local Foods Plymouth a year-round success! This Thursday, June 5th, is the last pick-up at the UPS Store; beginning June 19th, LFP orders will once again be picked up at the Plymouth Farmers' Market at 263 Highland Street from 3-6 pm. History of Local Foods Plymouth Local Foods Plymouth came about when members of the Plymouth Area Renewable Energy Initiative (PAREI) began talking about ways to increase local food buying in order to decrease their household’s overall energy use. Many had just recently learned that the average piece of food on one’s dinner plate traveled 1500 miles! The staff at D Acres Organic Farm suggested a format for making it easier for people to buy local foods – an on-line ordering and purchasing website. The two organizations, along with a few volunteers, worked together to turn this idea into a reality.
